A poem of magical might
Unending
Rejecting priests
feeding on the tragic
She flowed past my death
by fairy magic
Herself, is far
beyond mundane
Decrying dirty death
as too profane.
So she wed this
dislocated knight
Her price a very
different kind of fight
She who must by me
adored
My end for her is just
abhorred
So now I live by loss
of past
My chains of service so
recast
Twined by links of
softest silk
To reject the laws of
mother’s milk
Is Kind and Gentle my
new claim?
Her laugh declares an
alternate fame!
But Berserkers tend
to be rudely ruddy
And such Blooded find
their end is bloody
But despite a well of
inner rage
Fairies must a
“happily after” stage
Death has stalked me
from the cradle
Fed by stages from a
devil’s ladle.
Death within,
constant loss without,
My touch withers the
noblest redoubt
My dented plate
bespeaks the darker night
Can such a one embrace
delight?
Left and right in
rapid motion
Like an enchanted
fairy potion
A life of endings
ceases
This Fairy magic my
life increases
Herself, herself my
fairy queen
Poured dust that changed
the future scene
