back in uniform

I'm back in uniform, on campus and ready for work!

The surgery was a huge success and everything is healing well. I saw the surgeon yesterday to have the stints removed and he has given me the initial all clear. I go back again in five weeks for the final check up. He was able to remove all the infection and repair all of the damage without any complications. I have five weeks worth of sinus rinses ahead of me to help break down and dislodge the bio-degradable packing that still remains in my sinuses.

I meet with some of our students this morning, along with their leader Lindsey Berson, to hear all about what they have been doing in my absence. I confess I am in awe of the team I get to work with here on campus and I'm really excited to be off the bench and back on the field!
